Our Team

Our doctors have advanced training that allows them to perform a wide range of procedures – from wisdom tooth removal and dental implant placement to reconstructive surgery.  Several of our team members hold teaching positions at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Weill Cornell Medical Center, Stonybrook University Hospital, and North Shore University Hospital.

Dr. Stephen Sachs - Dr. Stephen Sachs is an experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He has decades of experience performing corrective surgeries to help patients regain functionality and reduce pain.

Dr. Michael Schwartz - Dr. Michael Schwartz is a dental surgeon as well as an educator. He holds positions at several colleges teaching dentistry. His ability to perform corrective surgeries continues to improve as he finds new ways of improving his skills with the latest practices and technologies.

Dr. Jay Neugarten - Dr. Jay Neugarten is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon that practices with NYCOMS and other organizations that take on challenging cases. His goal is to provide the best quality of life that he can for patients using the latest technologies.

Dr. Salvatore Ruggiero - Dr. Salvatore Ruggiero is trained in oral and maxillofacial surgery for adults and kids. He can help anyone improve their dental health, and makes it his mission to help kids recover their functionality for the rest of their lives.

Dr. Elisheva Rosenfeld - Dr. Elisheva Rosenfeld supports patients at NYCOMS as well as local trauma recovery groups. She works with patients that need extensive care and surgeries to make a full recovery.
